My first impressions Gwangju South Korea
When I first arrived in Gwangju South Korea it was freezing cold and the streets were lined with snow. The gardens has snow built up in them, there was just snow everywhere.
Gwangju didn't seem that big until I started to explore more and more and realised that it is actually quite a big city. It took me quite some time before I would adventure out on my own but lucky for me my work mates showed me around.
This is a snap shot photo of what every street in the city center looks like. Th streets are lined with shops and sale persons are every where. As soon as you walk into the shop you have a sales assistant talking to you trying to make you buy something.

New Years in Gwangju
I was lucky enough to be invited out by my work mates for New Years. We went to a bar named Holic where i found out how cheap it is to drink in South Korea. I couldn't believe it when a cocktail only cost $8!!! It was a good night with some dancing and a chance to get to know some of the staff better.
They decided that if a female danced on the bar that could get a free shot!!!

Korean Temple
Dr Fish
This was crazy!!! They have a little pool with little fish in it. You put your feet in this pool and the fish suck off and eat all the dead skin. The thought of this was crazy enough without actually doing it. You put your feet in this pool and fish all come at your feet at once. It was scary!!! I couldn't do it!! But a couple of my friends did so here some photos of them having the dead skin sucked of their feet by fish!!!
Night out with the Village crew!!!
Me and my new found friends!!!!
The River!!!
I walk along this river every morning with my kiwi friend Ashley!!
